Will Deliver More Benefits to the Communities We Call Home

Deepening Our Commitment to Communities

JetBlue and Spirit share a deep commitment to the communities we call home, and we will look to further grow in these cities, while also expanding our presence into new communities nationwide. After closing, we will serve over 125 destinations across 30 countries with more than 1,700 daily flights. And as we continue to grow, we will bring more connectivity, increased choices, and more low fares to the cities we serve.

As a partner in all the cities we operate, the combined JetBlue-Spirit will support greater opportunities for our people and their communities as a major employer and community partner.

Building on our presence in New York and Florida

The combined airline will continue to be based in New York City, building on JetBlue’s plans to hire 5,000 new crewmembers in the New York-New Jersey region this year and offer travelers more choices, low fares, and JetBlue’s award-winning experience.

In addition, this transaction will deepen our commitment to Florida, and we will use this combination to expand our presence and grow jobs in Central and South Florida, leveraging Spirit’s existing headquarters in the Fort Lauderdale area and presence at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
